Your personal data are your property. You provide your data to Euroflorist, because you wish to make a purchase. We can imagine that you would like to know why we ask for your personal data and what we do with them. We’re happy to tell you all about it below.

1. Data

Euroflorist will only use the personal data which you provide directly. This means the data you provide, for instance, when placing an order with us.

We use the following types of data:

  • Names and addresses of the sender and the recipient;
  • Telephone numbers;
  • Billing address;
  • Email address;
  • Payment information;
  • IP address.

As you can surely understand, we need the address information in order to deliver your order to you or to the person you wish to surprise.

You will also provide us your data if you register a Customer account. In addition to the personal data you provide, we will then also save your username. This option is very practical, as it will save you the trouble of having to enter your data each time you order. On our portal, you can also enter and adjust these settings yourself.

2. Data protection

We protect all information provided by you with the use of state-of-the-art technology. Certainly, you do not want your data to suddenly become public. We do not transfer your data to anyone without legitimate reasons. If it is necessary to transfer your data to third parties (you can read about it in point 5), we require that such a third party company process your data as securely as we do and for the same purpose.

3. Data storage periods

We store your personal data as long as it is necessary to process your order. After that, we store the data for own purposes for the maximum of two years (see point 4). After this period is over, your personal data will be erased, unless we are legally obliged to store them. For example, it is required by the law to store payment information for seven years.

4. Data processing purposes

The data you provide to us are used for the following purposes:

  • Order delivery: naturally, we use your data to process your order. In some cases, we may make the data available to the companies we partner with for the purpose of order processing. You will find more information about this in point 5.
  • Advertising: It is understandable that you may want to know all about the beautiful products in our offer. Upon your consent, we may regularly send you updates in the matter via email or social media.
  • Email/SMS newsletter: You can also subscribe for our email or SMS newsletter. This will keep you updated about our offer, special discounts and news. No longer interested in receiving your e-mail newsletter/SMS newsletter? You can always cancel your subscription by clicking the link provided in each of our newsletter messages, or in your account settings (Your data > Data edit > Newsletter agreement / Sms Newsletter Agreement). 
  • Questions: If you have any questions concerning your order, contact us via email or telephone. Remember that it is you who decides what information you provide to us. They will be stored for as long as necessary. We are here for you, and we are happy to help!

Location data: In order to help you the best we can, we will sometimes collect data related to your location (GPS). If we need such data, we will ask for your consent.

5. Third parties

In some cases, we may make the data available to third parties, i.e. the companies we partner with. These companies help us handle the orders.

5.1 Providers of navigation/mapping software such as Google Maps may store and process your data (location data). It is also possible that the data are used by Google or Apple. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this, but if you would like to find out more, you can read the privacy policies of these companies.

5.2 If you register a Customer account or place an order with us, we disclose the data associated with your username to third parties only when it is necessary
for the performance of the contract or required by the law. An example of such a situation could be fraud or abuse of our website. In such an event, personal data will be transferred to competent authorities.

5.3 We want to make sure that our website provides possibly the most optimal and personal experience. This is why we use web analytics services such as Google Analytics, so that we can track the ways in which our website is used. Naturally, when it comes to security, these companies are bound by their contracts with us, and all the IP addresses are anonymous. 6. Third countries

Some of the companies we work with are based outside the European Union. The law in such countries may not ensure the same degree of data protection as under European legislation. To make sure the data are duly protected, we have concluded data protection agreements with such companies.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies in order to ensure optimal performance. Cookies make your shopping quick and safe. You can find more information about it in our cookie policy.

8. Third party websites

Our website occasionally contains links to other websites owned by other companies. We have no influence on these websites, and we cannot guarantee that these companies protect data to the degree we do. We recommend that you read privacy policies of such websites before using them.

9. Modifications to this privacy policy

To keep you as informed as possible on our use of personal data, we occasionally update this privacy policy. This is why we recommend that you come back to read it again from time to time.

10. Viewing, changing, deleting data or other questions?

You can also send us a request to view, change, delete or transfer the data to you. For example, it is possible to check whether the data is correct. Do you want to know which data we use with your permission, or do you want us to limit / stop the data processing? You can also request this by sending an email to [email protected]. 11. Complaints?

Of course, we are happy to help you if you have a complaint about our processing of the personal data. However, you can also file a complaint with the so-called 'Authority for Personal Data', which supervises the processing of personal data. You can contact our data protection officer (DPO) for this.
