1 - Pumpkin Vases
The easiest way to decorate a pumpkin is ... to turn it into a beautiful vase for your favourite autumn bouquet.
A pumpkin-vase will look nice both in its natural color and painted in white, silver, gold, or any other color that matches your interiors. When choosing the perfect pumpkin for your vase, look for one with the most round shape.

How to Hollow Out a Pumpkin for a Flower Vase
To make a pumpkin vase, you need to draw a hole of the right size (slightly larger than the container that you will then place inside the pumpkin). Then cut a hole with a knife and thoroughly clean the pumpkin with a spoon. In the pumpkin hole hide a small vase, jar or container with water for the bouquet.
2 - Flower Decorated Pumpkins - Easy Pumpkin Flower Arrangement
This stylish pumpkin arrangement comes from this year's Flowercouncil of Holland Autumn campaign. A pumpkin decorated this way is an extremely simple, yet elegant home decoration that we simply had to share.

To make these flower-decorated pumpkins, you will need:
- small pumpkins (Japanese pumpkins were used in this shoot, but orange pumpkins will also work well)
- dried and fresh flowers (in this shoot: helichrysum, broom bloom, hypericum, clematis seed and lagurus)
- long pins with iron head (box)
- scissors
Remember: Dried flowers last longer, but fresh flowers can easily be replaced and allow you to be creative more often.
Once you are ready, trim the flower stalks as short as possible, then attach them to the pumpkin with pins.
3 - Painted Pumpkins
Pumpkins can be repainted by applying paint with sponges or by using spray paint. Two coats of paint may be required for a better effect. You can also go a step further and decorate it with colorful patterns instead of a solid color:
