Although some potted flowers that bloom in winter require special care, we can be sure that the effort we put into their care will pay off doubly. 1. Azalea
Although caring for azaleas is not the easiest, this plant can reward you exceptionally beautifully. Due to the fact that when it starts to bloom, there is too little natural light, it should take up a place on the windowsill in the sunniest part of the apartment. The optimal temperature for this plant is from 10 to 15°C. Although azaleas like moisture, unfortunately, they rot quite quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the plant is neither too wet nor too dry, while remembering to fertilize regularly (once every 2-3 weeks). Once the azalea has finished blooming, gently remove the faded flowers, replant the plant in a larger pot (remembering to use appropriately acidic soil) and move it to a cooler place until the next blooming period, limiting watering.

2. Phalaenopsis orchid
is the most popular and easiest to care for orchid variety. The right amount of light will initiate the flowering process of this plant. It is therefore worth avoiding the least sunny north side. This orchid variety does not have special temperature requirements. It feels great in home conditions, both in terms of temperature and humidity. In winter, orchids should be watered with boiled water only after the substrate has completely dried out, usually every week or a week and a half.

3. Cyclamen Persian
a perennial plant from the primrose family. Cyclamen likes humid air and temperatures from 10 to 15°C. The flower should be provided with constant access to moist substrate, pouring water into the saucer, without flooding the tuber. After flowering, the cyclamen should be transplanted to a larger pot and placed in a cooler place for the dormant period.

4. African violet (violet vulgaris)
is a plant that is particularly sensitive to cold. It will feel great in a warm, sunny place, although it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. African violet should be watered only on the saucer, so as not to allow the substrate to rot, and fertilized once every two weeks. Proper care will make it bloom all year round, most abundantly in the summer months.

5. Kalanchoe (lily of the valley)
is a plant that does not require much care. It will feel great at room temperature in a sunny place. Do not allow the roots to rot, watering only when the substrate is very dry (usually once every two weeks).
